To get from the Dolomites to Lake Garda by bus, start by traveling to the nearest major city—for example, Bolzano (1–2 hours from most resorts). From there, take a flight to Verona (about 3 hours). In Verona, transfer to a local bus or shuttle to your chosen lake resort (another 30–60 minutes). Including waiting times and transfers, the total travel time is 6–9 hours. Cons: all information is in Italian, creating a language barrier. Buses have limited space for sports equipment: skis, bicycles, or large suitcases can be inconvenient. During the low season, some buses are canceled, and the intervals between buses can reach 3–4 hours.

How to get from the Dolomites to Lake Garda by train

Lake Garda can be reached by train, although there is no direct connection from the Dolomites. First, take a bus to Bolzano (1–2 hours).
