• the surroundings of the Postojna Cave, a famous karst cave (you can see characteristic rock outcrops);
• the views from the Karst highlands: panoramas of green valleys and distant mountains;
• the ancient Slovenian villages along the highway – cozy houses, vineyards, and small chapels;

closer to Trieste, the outlines of the port city and the silhouette of Piazza Unity, one of the largest seaside squares in Europe.

From the Slovenian coast:

Portorož – Venice (approximately 160 km, 2-2.5 hours). The route runs along the Adriatic coast, offering stunning sea views:

• First, a picturesque road past Piran and Izola with views of ancient facades and azure bays;
• Then, a section along the Italian border, offering panoramas of rocky headlands and turquoise bays;

After entering Italy, views of the Venice lagoon: first the distant silhouettes of the islands, then the outlines of the famous domes and campaniles.

Piran – Trieste (approximately 30 km, 30-40 minutes). A short and incredibly beautiful route:

• Starting in ancient Piran with its red roofs and fortress walls;
• A coastal road with views of Piran Bay and Cape Madonna;
• A section through green hills with vineyards—traditional Slovenian wineries are often visible here;

The final stretch is a descent to Trieste with panoramic views of the city and bay.
