The road leads east along the Italian motorways, then cuts through Trieste with its imperial silhouette by the bay, and heads south along the western coast of Istria, past Koper, Umag, and Poreč. The route concludes in Pula itself, with its stunning 1st-century amphitheater, which greets guests at the very entrance to the city.
